The Akron Peace Project is an organization dedicated to cultivating nonviolence in the self, the home, and the community.
The 6th Annual Akron Peace Week is Oct 1 – Oct 9th, 2015. If you would like to be involved, please contact us!
The 5th Annual Akron Peace Week was a wonderful success, bringing together many parts of our community to grow and unify. We look forward to establishing a Nonviolent Communication group in the area, more film showings, Peace Week 6, and much more!
We wish everyone happy holidays, and hope that this season finds us in community, surrounded by Love and compassion.
The Peace Project extends it’s support to the groups standing for the rights of all citizens, and stands with groups peacefully calling for the accountability of those that use their force and power to take the lives of young African American citizens. This is a human rights issue that involves directly the entire community. Nonviolently, we can come together to find solutions, have discussions, and make sure that all lives matter.
